Moog started over 50 years ago as designer and supplier of aircraft and missile components. Today, their motion control technology enhances performance in a variety of markets and applications, from commercial aircraft cockpits, to power-generation turbines, to Formula One racing, to medical infusion systems. Moog’s culture supports its talented people, allowing them to approach their work with energy, enthusiasm, and the promise of success.

Aerospace & Defense

With almost 60 years of experience in the space and defense business, Moog is the premier motion control and flow control solutions provider for the following markets: satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, naval vessels, and security and surveillance.

For space-related requirements, Moog provides integrated systems and components for satellites and launch vehicles. For commercial and military satellites, they provide systems, subassemblies, and components for chemical, electric, and cold gas propulsion. Moog can also mechanically position antennas and solar array panels for spacecraft. For launch vehicles they provide space-rated electronics, avionics, thrust vector control actuation systems, primary flight control actuators, electronic controllers, and fluid control systems and components. These products are utilized by human-rated space vehicles such as the Space Shuttle and the new Ares & Orion module for NASA.

Ground Defense
For ground defense, Moog’s military ground vehicle solutions include turret designs, operator controls, gun-aiming and stabilization systems, and several electronic systems. For the sea, their naval-specific control solutions use electromechanical and electrohydraulic technologies and are qualified for use in harsh naval environments. Because of the ruggedness and reliability of their solutions, they are the sole source supplier of rotary motion control systems for US Navy submarines. For aerial defense, they provide fluid and fin control actuation systems for missile steering applications.

Moog provides sophisticated solutions for the Security Market, utilizing a number of technologies developed internally and via acquisition. Their security solutions include sensor system nodes, pan and tilt systems for precision positioning and pointing of cameras and sensors, high-accuracy closed loop axial pointing, signal processing, video/audio switching, and image stabilization.
